Wimbledon 2027 Dates, London Airports and Helicopter Options
June 28, 2027 – July 11, 2027

Venue
All England Lawn Tennis Club
Address
Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 5AE, United Kingdom
The Championships, Wimbledon run from Monday, June 28, to Sunday, July 11, 2027, at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in south-west London. Those are the Wimbledon 2027 dates published by the club, which is marking the year as "150 Years of The Championships." For visitors flying private, London's business aviation airports, the ground transfer to SW19 and the ticket route are the three things to settle early.
- Dates: Monday, June 28, to Sunday, July 11, 2027
- Venue: All England Lawn Tennis Club, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 5AE
- Tickets: the 2027 Public Ballot is now closed; official routes now include hospitality, debentures and the Queue
- Airports to discuss: London Biggin Hill and Farnborough
Wimbledon 2027 dates and the 150th year
The club's tickets page invites visitors to "celebrate 150 Years of The Championships, 28 June to 11 July 2027." The tournament runs over two weeks, so pick your days with your ticket in hand, not the other way round.
Wimbledon 2027 tickets: ballot, Queue, debentures and hospitality
The Wimbledon 2027 tickets ballot has already run: the club's tickets page states that "the Wimbledon Public Ballot for The Championships 2027 is now closed." Three official routes are described on the club's site.
- Hospitality: the official hospitality page, run with Keith Prowse, offers 2027 packages and notes that premium experiences have "sold out in record time" in recent years.
- Debentures: the debentures page says each debenture gives a seat on Centre Court or No.1 Court for five years, and that debenture tickets "are the only Championships tickets that can be legally transferred."
- The Queue: the Queue page says it offers limited Show Court and Grounds tickets, one per person, and that it starts in Wimbledon Park, "a five-minute walk from Southfields."
Buy only through these official channels. Other than debentures, the club restricts the transfer of tickets.
Airports for Wimbledon: Biggin Hill and Farnborough
Two business aviation airports serve London-bound private flights:
- London Biggin Hill Airport (EGKB / BQH), south-east of the city, describes itself as "the only dedicated business aviation airport in London." Its site lists a runway of 1,806 m and a Heli Shuttle service it promotes as "6 minutes to the heart of London."
- Farnborough Airport (EGLF / FAB), in Hampshire south-west of London, calls itself "the largest and the most pre-eminent business aviation airport in the UK."
Neither airport publishes arrangements for the tournament, and this guide makes no claim about slots or parking on those dates. Our page on Farnborough and our guide to choosing an airport near a major city cover the trade-offs.
How far is Wimbledon from Heathrow, and is there a helicopter option?
Heathrow is London's main airline hub, west of Wimbledon, served by scheduled airlines. For a private flight, the business aviation airports above are the ones to discuss first. Drive times from any of them to SW19 depend heavily on the hour and the day, so ask your provider to plan the transfer around play start times. If you are thinking of a helicopter to Wimbledon, Biggin Hill's Heli Shuttle is one service to ask about, but it runs into central London rather than to the grounds, so a car leg will still be needed. We found no helicopter landing site for spectators on the club's pages.
How to get to Wimbledon from central London, and where to stay
From central London, public transport is one way in: the club's Queue guidance points to Southfields station, a short walk from Wimbledon Park. A car from your hotel is the other; allow for match-day traffic. If you are staying near Wimbledon, book early for the 150th year. The club's debenture page notes that ticket holders receive a handbook covering dress code, timings, travel and parking guidance, so read your own ticket's terms for any dress rules.
What to confirm with your provider
- Which airport does the provider suggest, Biggin Hill or Farnborough, for your aircraft and your hotel, and why?
- Has parking been confirmed for your dates, and will the aircraft stay or reposition?
- How long should the car transfer to Church Road take at your arrival hour, and where will you be dropped?
- If you want a helicopter leg, how does it connect with a car to the grounds?
- Do all passengers have the right UK entry documents, including an Electronic Travel Authorisation where required?
- How would rain delays or a late finish affect your departure slot and the quote?
