When is the Pegasus World Cup 2027? The stakes schedule lists it on Saturday, January 30, the last Saturday of the month. The same day carries a deep undercard: the Inside Information (G2), the William L. McKnight (G3) over 1 1/2 miles on turf, the Fred W. Hooper (G3), the Christophe Clement (G3), the Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint and two overnight handicaps on the Tapeta surface. The Filly and Mare Turf Invitational (G2) is run over 1 1/16 miles on turf, and all three Pegasus races are for horses aged four and up, according to the schedule. A week earlier, on January 23, the track runs the Holy Bull (G3) for three-year-olds. Post times for the 2027 card were not published when we checked, so confirm the first post and the feature race times closer to the date.

Where is the Pegasus World Cup held?

The race is held at Gulfstream Park, on Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Gulfstream describes the Pegasus World Cup as "South Florida's premier Thoroughbred horse race," held there each January, with music headliners, food from Miami restaurants and VIP hospitality alongside the racing.

Gulfstream's Pegasus World Cup page carries the ticket links. 2027 on-sale dates and prices were not published there when we checked, so confirm them before you plan your flight around a specific seating area or suite. On dress, Gulfstream's visitor page gives its dress etiquette as "Racing chic attire suggested." Suites and hospitality areas may ask for more, so check the terms of your ticket. If you are planning for a group, settle the seating or suite first, then fix the airport, hotel and flight times around it.

Airports near Gulfstream Park

Two airports are worth discussing with your provider. The FAA lists Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) 3 miles southwest of Fort Lauderdale, with a control tower open 24 hours; of the two, it is closer to Hallandale Beach. To the south, the Miami-Dade Aviation Department's general aviation page describes Miami-Opa locka Executive (OPF) as the largest of the county's five general aviation airports, open 24 hours a day and located 7 miles north of Miami International. The FAA record for OPF gives tower hours of 0700 to 2300.
