The Saudi Cup 2027 date is Saturday, February 6, 2027, at King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh, at the end of a two-night horse racing weekend that opens on Friday, February 5. The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA) says the weekend carries prize money "of over US$39.6M," with US$20M on the Saudi Cup itself. The club calls the weekend "Riyadh's social event of the year."

  • Opening night: Friday, February 5, 2027
  • Saudi Cup race night: Saturday, February 6, 2027
  • Venue: King Abdulaziz Racecourse, Al Jenadriyah, Riyadh
  • Airport named by the organizer: King Khalid International Airport, which it says is close to the racecourse

Saudi Cup 2027 date and race nights

The JCSA lists "Opening night, Friday" and "Saudi Cup race night, Saturday" for February 2027, and its banner gives the dates as 5 and 6 February 2027. The Saudi Cup itself, the richest race of the weekend, runs on the Saturday night card. Race times for 2027 were not published on the page when we checked, so confirm them before you set a departure time. The club's news pages report that Forever Young won the race for a second straight year in 2026.

Where is the Saudi Cup held?

The race is run at King Abdulaziz Racecourse, which the JCSA's travel and parking page places in Al Jenadriyah, "close to King Khalid International Airport," with "plentiful free parking." For Saudi Cup, the club asks drivers to follow road signs to Gate 5 or the main entrance gate, depending on their parking zone.

Saudi Cup dress code

The JCSA publishes a style guide built around "elegance and modesty," with a separate section for Saudi Cup, where the club and the Ministry of Culture encourage heritage-inspired dress alongside formal race day style. Men may wear Saudi heritage dress (such as a thobe with bisht, agal and ghutra or shemagh), the formal national dress of their country, a formal military dress uniform, or a suit with a jacket, with a tie required in the Royal Area (the Grandstand and Parade Ring). Women may wear an abaya or thobe inspired by traditional Saudi fashion, a modest dress, formal national dress, a formal military dress uniform or a smart suit with a jacket. Jeans, T-shirts, shorts, clothing with promotional branding and sheer clothing are not permitted, and for women strapless, off-shoulder, halter-neck and spaghetti-strap styles are also ruled out.

Tickets and hospitality

The JCSA's hospitality page describes restaurant experiences, private suites and race sponsorship packages at King Abdulaziz Racecourse, booked through an enquiry form. Its most prestigious experience, it says, is designed for groups of 100 or more guests, and a full restaurant takeover next to the track needs a minimum of 40 guests. Saudi Cup ticket details for 2027 were not on the pages we checked, so ask the JCSA directly, or your host, before you finalize travel.

Flying into Riyadh

Riyadh Airports Company manages and operates King Khalid International Airport (RUH/OERK) in Riyadh, and the JCSA says the racecourse is close to it. This guide makes no claim about business aviation handling or parking at the airport during Saudi Cup weekend. Ask your provider which handler it will use, and check visa requirements for every passenger well ahead of the trip. For choosing between airports in general, see How to Choose a Private Jet Departure Airport Near a Major City. Operators in the region are listed on our Riyadh and Dubai pages.

What to confirm with your provider

  • Which handler will receive the aircraft at King Khalid International, and what are its procedures for private arrivals?
  • Do all passengers hold the visas they need before departure?
  • How long is the drive from the airport to King Abdulaziz Racecourse in the evening, and who books the car?
  • Will the aircraft stay in Riyadh for both nights, or reposition between them?
  • How late can you depart after the Saturday card, given crew duty limits?
  • What are the change and cancellation terms if race times or your plans change?

Event details are on the official Saudi Cup page. Compare private jet providers on PJReviews.com before you book.
