Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026 dates and schedule

Expressed in UTC, F1's event page times are practice 1 at 00:30 and practice 2 at 04:00 on November 20, practice 3 and qualifying at the same times on November 21, and the race at 04:00 on November 22. Las Vegas is eight hours behind UTC in November, which puts every session in the late afternoon or evening, local time, from Thursday to Saturday. The local times in the list above are that conversion; check them against the page before you fix flight times.

Is the Las Vegas Grand Prix at night? Yes. F1 describes "a Saturday night race under the lights" on a 17-turn street circuit that runs past Caesars Palace, the Bellagio and the Venetian. The race distance is 309.958 km, and F1 notes that the city hosted two earlier Grands Prix, in 1981 and 1982, under the Caesars Palace name. F1 has also announced that Las Vegas will stay on the calendar until 2037.

Tickets, hotels and what to wear

F1 says ticketing for the weekend ranges "from VIP packages to grandstand seating and general admission," and its event page links to F1 Tickets, F1 Hospitality and F1 Experiences. That page does not show prices or on-sale dates, so how much Las Vegas Grand Prix tickets cost, and whether any categories remain, has to be checked with the official seller when you book. We could not load the race promoter's own site when we checked, so this guide quotes none of its policies.

F1 publishes no dress code for the event. Hospitality venues can set their own rules, so ask about them when you book a package. Keep in mind that all sessions run after dark. On hotels, F1 points to the resorts along the Strip as part of the circuit's setting; for a private flight, the more useful question is how your hotel sits relative to the airport you land at, and how long the transfer takes on session evenings.

Which airport for the Las Vegas Grand Prix?

The Clark County Department of Aviation runs Harry Reid International (LAS) and a group of general aviation airports. Its airports page calls Henderson Executive Airport (HND) "the corporate choice for aviation in Las Vegas," located "just minutes from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip," and describes North Las Vegas Airport (VGT) as an alternative to Harry Reid for general aviation pilots and their passengers.

Both executive airports publish notices for race week. Henderson Executive Airport lists prior permission required (PPR) for the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix from November 17 to 23, 2026, with a special event fee applying from November 17 to 21, and links to a notice of arrival form. The North Las Vegas Airport site lists the same PPR window and fee dates. Henderson's page gives the airport as open 24 hours, the FBO from 0500 to 2230 and the control tower from 0600 to 2000. These are the airports' own notices. We make no claim about parking space or arrival times during race week, and your operator should check the current notices before quoting.

Searches for a Las Vegas F1 helicopter transfer are common, but neither F1's event page nor the airport notices cover helicopter shuttles, so ask your provider whether one is offered and from where. For the airport decision itself, see How to Choose a Private Jet Departure Airport Near a Major City, and for local operators see our Las Vegas and Henderson pages.

What to confirm with your provider

  • Has the operator filed the PPR request and notice of arrival for HND or VGT for November 17 to 23, and is the special event fee in the quote?
  • Which airport suits your hotel, and how long should you allow for the ground transfer on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings?
  • Will the aircraft stay in Las Vegas between arrival and departure, or reposition and come back?
  • The race starts at 8pm on Saturday. Is a same-night departure realistic given tower hours at your airport and crew duty limits?
  • If you are arriving from outside the United States, where will you clear customs?
  • Is a helicopter transfer available, who operates it, and from which landing site?
  • What happens to the booking and any deposit if your plans change?
