Dates, hours and how to get in
Art Basel's 2026 announcement gives the public days as Friday, December 4, Saturday, December 5, and Sunday, December 6, each from 11am to 6pm, with "access with a ticket or invitation." It does not publish hours for the two preview days. The convention center's own event page lists the fair from Wednesday, December 2, through Sunday, December 6.
Tickets are sold through Art Basel's ticket page, which offers "Premium Passes" and "General tickets" and states that "Availability is limited." Prices are not shown on that page, so check them in the official ticket shop before you fix your travel dates. If you do not already hold a preview invitation, plan your trip around the public days.
What the 2026 fair includes
According to Art Basel, 254 galleries will show across the fair's four sectors, and Zero 10, its initiative for art of the digital era, adds a further 22 galleries and platforms. The organizer says the fair "will occupy approximately 12% less floor space" this year on a reconfigured showfloor. Beyond the convention center, Art Basel lists two outdoor projects "free to the public," including a new body of work by James Turrell, and the Official Art Basel Awards Night on Thursday, December 3, at the New World Center.
Flying in: airports to discuss with your provider
One airport to discuss is Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPF), which the FAA describes as "a medium sized primarily general and business aviation airport," six miles north of Miami International Airport (MIA).
The FAA page does not address the week of the fair, and this listing makes no claim about ramp space, handling or traffic procedures during it. The right airport depends on your aircraft, your schedule and where you are staying, so ask your provider to compare options and transfer times to Miami Beach. For more on this decision, see How to Choose a Private Jet Departure Airport Near a Major City and How to Plan Private Jet Airport Transfers Around FBO Operations.
What to confirm with your provider
- Which airport does the provider suggest for your aircraft and your hotel, and why?
- Has parking been confirmed at that airport for your dates, and does it cover the aircraft staying on the ground, or will it reposition between legs?
- How much time should you allow for the ground transfer to Miami Beach at the hours you will travel, and who arranges the car?
- If you are arriving from outside the United States, where will you clear customs, and is that available at your arrival airport and time?
- How busy does the provider expect departures to be at the end of the fair, and how would a later return change the quote?
- What happens to the booking, and to any deposit, if your plans change?
