The Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup Match will be sailed in the Gulf of Naples from July 10 to 19, 2027, with the Louis Vuitton Cup challenger series running from May 22. The America's Cup 2027 Naples edition marks the first time, the organizers say, that the Louis Vuitton Cup and the Match "will be sailed in Italy." The race area sits off the city's waterfront, so Naples itself is the base for anyone flying in to watch.

  • Louis Vuitton Cup: from Saturday, May 22, with the final concluded by July 4, 2027
  • America's Cup Match: from Saturday, July 10, to Monday, July 19, 2027 at the latest
  • Location: Gulf of Naples, with the 2026 race village at Rotonda Diaz on the Via Caracciolo waterfront
  • Nearest airport: Naples International Airport (Capodichino)

America's Cup 2027 dates and schedule

When is the America's Cup in Naples? The official racing schedule sets out the full sequence. The Louis Vuitton Cup opens with AC75 fleet racing on May 22 and 23, 2027, followed by round robins through June 11, a repechage on June 12 and 13, semi-finals from June 16 to 20 and a final from June 26 that "could finish" on July 3 or 4. The winner then meets the Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand. Racing is in AC75 foiling yachts, and the schedule page says seven AC75s are confirmed for the regatta, the first time the class will race together in a fleet format.

In the organizers' September 2026 announcement, America's Cup Partnership CEO Marzio Perrelli confirmed that the Match "is set to begin on the 10th July 2027" and will conclude, depending on the score, by July 19. The same announcement dates the Women's America's Cup from July 5 to 9, 2027, and the Youth America's Cup from June 2 to 6. The Match is first to seven wins, and the schedule page notes that the race director can extend racing if weather forces cancellations, so keep your return flexible.

Where will the America's Cup be held, and how do spectators watch?

Racing takes place on the Bay of Naples, off the city's waterfront. At the preliminary regatta in September 2026, the organizers reported that "tens of thousands of spectators lined the Lungomare Caracciolo and packed the Race Village at Rotonda Diaz." Team bases are under construction at Bagnoli, at the western end of the bay. The organizers have not yet published a 2027 village plan, opening hours or ticketed areas, so check the 38th America's Cup page for America's Cup 2027 tickets and access before you book.

The Match also falls in the middle of the Mediterranean summer, so if you are combining it with time on a yacht, our Mediterranean superyacht season guide covers that wider planning.

Which airport for the America's Cup 2027 Naples races?

The main airport is Naples International Airport (LIRN / NAP) at Capodichino, run by the airport company GESAC, whose site has a dedicated general aviation section. It sits on the north-east side of the city, so allow for road traffic on the way to the waterfront. The airport does not publish arrangements for regatta days, and this guide makes no claim about parking or slots then. Rome is a longer-distance alternative if Naples cannot accommodate your plan. See our pages on private aviation in Naples and Rome for providers in the region.

What to confirm with your provider

  • Is parking at Naples Capodichino confirmed for your dates, and will the aircraft stay or reposition?
  • How flexible is the return if the Match runs to its final scheduled day, July 19, or racing is delayed by weather?
  • How long is the transfer from the airport to the Via Caracciolo waterfront at your arrival hour?
  • If Naples cannot take your aircraft on a given day, which alternative airport is planned, and how would the ground transfer work?
  • Who arranges handling and the car, and can the provider recommend a spectator boat operator?
  • What happens to the booking and any deposit if the race schedule changes?

The schedule and spectator updates are on the official America's Cup site. Explore private jet providers on PJReviews.com and compare provider reviews before you book.
