Helicopter charter and shuttle flights in Bodrum, with helicopter trading from Dubai
Mavi Air is a helicopter business with two units: Mavi Air Bodrum, which offers helicopter charter in the Bodrum area of Muğla province in Turkey, and Mavi Air Helicopter Trading LLC in Business Bay, Dubai, which deals in helicopter trading and leasing. In Turkey the brand is run by Vivaah Havacılık ve Organizasyon Hizmetleri Ltd. Şti., trading as MaviAir Helicopter Shuttle.
Aviation news site HeliHub reported in late 2021 that the start-up planned to begin flights around Bodrum in May 2022 using an Airbus H125. Turkish trade press described initial helipads near Göltürkbükü and at Yalıkavak, close to the peninsula's hotel and marina areas.
In Bodrum the focus is short helicopter hops: point-to-point transfers between the airport, hotels and the peninsula's resorts, shuttle-style flights and scenic sightseeing. A third-party aviation directory profile describes the company as flying Airbus H130 helicopters, suggesting the fleet has changed since launch, though the company's own site does not publish a fleet list.
The Dubai entity adds helicopter sales and leasing, which may be of interest to buyers in the Gulf region. The website does not state which Turkish air operator certificate the Bodrum flights are conducted under, so passengers wanting that detail should ask the company directly before booking.
