Flightbase

Flightbase is a Swiss flight experience brand operated by Adventurebase GmbH, whose head office is in Rehetobel in Appenzell Ausserrhoden. It sells and books a wide range of air activities across Switzerland, with flights carried out by partner pilots and operators in each region.

Helicopter flights are one part of the range. Around Zurich, sightseeing flights depart from Zurich Airport's heliport, the Albisgütli area on the edge of the city, or Forch, with further departures from Buttwil and Beromünster. Routes include Lake Zurich, Central Switzerland and Walensee to Säntis, and some flights include a glacier landing.

For customers who want their own itinerary, Flightbase also offers private helicopter flights and helicopter charter, along with trial lessons where passengers can take the controls with an instructor. The wider catalogue covers tandem paragliding, skydiving, balloon flights, aerobatics, vintage aircraft, gliders and flight simulators.

Bookings and gift vouchers are handled online, and the company states that its customer service is reachable seven days a week by phone, email, web chat and WhatsApp. Exact operator and aircraft details are passed on in the booking confirmation.

Because the actual flights are run by partner operators, travellers wanting a specific helicopter type or route should ask which operator will fly before confirming.
