CaptainJet

CaptainJet is a private aviation company based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Press coverage from December 2025 gives its founding year as 2015 and describes it as a charter sourcing and concierge service rather than an aircraft operator.

The company arranges on-demand private jet charters for its clients, handling aircraft sourcing and the practical arrangements around a trip, such as customs coordination. A company database lists a CaptainJet app on the Apple App Store, through which clients can request and book flights.

CaptainJet does not appear to operate aircraft under its own certificate. Flights are arranged with third-party operators. The same press coverage reports that CaptainJet is affiliated with Jetfly, a European fractional aircraft ownership company.

Its stated focus is Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In December 2025 the US fractional operator PlaneSense announced a reciprocal arrangement under which CaptainJet coordinates European charters for PlaneSense owners, and PlaneSense helps arrange US flights for CaptainJet clients.

Flyers comparing charter options should ask CaptainJet which operator will fly each trip and what safety audits that operator holds, as this is not published in the sources reviewed.
