Geneva-based business jet operator offering charter, aircraft management and sales
Albinati Aeronautics SA is a business aviation company based at Chemin Riantbosson in Meyrin, next to Geneva Airport (LSGG). Stefano Albinati founded it in 2001. The company says it has more than 140 employees. A sister company, Albinati Aviation Ltd, is based in Malta and was set up in 2013. Another Albinati Aviation Ltd entity was set up in Turin, Italy, in 2017.
Albinati operates aircraft under its own certificates rather than brokering flights with outside operators. It holds Swiss AOC no. 1036, issued by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation in 2005. It also holds a Maltese AOC, which lets owners use their aircraft for commercial flights within the European Community. Independent trade press reports that most of the managed fleet sits on the Maltese certificate. The Swiss AOC is kept for owners who need Swiss-registered aircraft.
Its main services are on-demand charter of managed aircraft and aircraft management, including CAMO (continuing airworthiness) supervision. Aircraft sales and acquisitions are handled by Jetron, a related company the group set up in 2023.
The fleet is mostly long-range business jets. Bombardier Global aircraft make up a large share, alongside Dassault Falcons. Smaller types have included the Pilatus PC-12 and Citation M2. The company reports flying the first commercial Falcon 6X in 2024. Fleet numbers differ by source: the company and industry listings mention 20 to 25 managed jets, while only a few aircraft appear on the Swiss AOC alone.
The company lists IS-BAO Stage II registration, ARGUS Platinum certification and US FAR Part 129 approval. These are company-stated milestones and are worth checking with the issuing bodies before booking.
