Maltese business jet operator of the Geneva-based SPARFELL group, flying long-range jets
Sparfell Malta Ltd. is the Malta-based operating company of SPARFELL, a family-owned private aviation group headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The group says its family has been in the aviation business since 1950. The Maltese company has an office in Mosta and holds a Maltese air operator certificate, with Malta International Airport as its base.
Across the group, SPARFELL offers aircraft charter, aircraft management, aircraft sales and leasing, together with travel and concierge services and other asset management activities outside aviation.
According to a September 2024 ch-aviation report, the Maltese certificate covered four ultra-long-range aircraft: a Gulfstream G500, a Bombardier Global 6000, a Global 6500 and a newly delivered Global 7500. The same report said the group's Austrian sister operator, SPARFELL Luftfahrt in Vienna, flew a larger fleet of 19 aircraft. Later trade headlines indicate the Maltese Global 6000 was phased out in 2025, so the current fleet should be confirmed with the company.
The group lists offices in Geneva, Vienna, San Marino, Malta, Washington, Singapore and Dublin. For flyers, the main point is that Sparfell Malta operates its own aircraft under its own certificate, rather than arranging flights through other operators. The group's website does not mention third-party safety audits such as ARGUS, Wyvern or IS-BAO.
