株式会社Blue Mobility

Blue Mobility Co., Ltd. (株式会社Blue Mobility) is an air mobility company headquartered in Naha, Okinawa, Japan. It is best known for its helicopter bus service, which sells individual seats on short helicopter hops around the main island of Okinawa.

According to Travel Watch reporting from July 2023, the service launched in September 2023 on weekends and holidays, connecting Naha Airport with Onna Village and Nago. Passengers choose a date, route and seat online, then board at the heliport. The helicopters used at launch seated four people including the pilot, so large suitcases have to be sent separately.

Blue Mobility does not fly the aircraft itself. The same report states that Blue Mobility handles marketing, booking systems and operations, while the flights are operated by Space Aviation, a helicopter taxi and sightseeing operator. Its own press releases name Keisuke Michihiro as representative director and say general sales of the helicopter bus began on 29 February 2024.

Beyond the shared shuttle, the company has promoted a private helitaxi option for custom flights. Travellers should confirm current routes, timetables and the operating carrier when booking, as the service has been expanding since launch.
