The company states that AIR LLOYD was founded in 1963, and an ADAC press release traces the original Air Lloyd Deutsche Helicopter Flugservice GmbH to Cologne in 1963, with a move to Bonn-Hangelar in 1970.
The company describes itself as a certified air operator and says it is certified by the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt, Germany's federal aviation authority. Its flight services include passenger transport and charter, cargo and sling-load work, power line and pipeline surveillance, and aerial filming and photography.
Alongside commercial flying, AIR LLOYD offers sightseeing flights, including flights for proposals and weddings, pilot training for private and commercial helicopter licences and instrument ratings, and helicopter sales including Robinson models.
