TEFAF Maastricht 2027: Dates, Maastricht Airport and Flying Private

The TEFAF Maastricht 2027 dates are March 13 to 18, 2027, at MECC Maastricht in the Netherlands, with two invitation-only days on March 11 and 12, according to the fair's visit and tickets page. TEFAF says the fair brings together "over 260 prestigious dealers from some 20 countries," covering 7,000 years of art, from antiquities and Old Masters to modern design and jewelry.

TEFAF Maastricht 2027 dates and opening hours

When is TEFAF 2027? The organizer gives the public dates as March 13 to 18, preceded by invitation-only days on March 11 and 12, with doors open from 11am to 7pm each day. On its fair page, TEFAF says about 200 experts in 30 vetting committees examine every object for sale for condition, quality and authenticity, and that the fair spans ten sections, from Ancient Art to Arts of Africa and Oceania. Tickets and the invitation-only preview

TEFAF's visit page says tickets for the 2027 fair "will become available in mid-October," so check the ticket shop for current availability. Its visit page lists online prices including VAT: €85 for a weekend entrance ticket valid March 13 to 18, €55 for a weekday entrance ticket valid March 15 to 18 and €182 for a multiple-entrance ticket. Tickets bought at the venue cost slightly more, and accompanied children under 12 enter free. March 11 and 12 are by invitation only, so if you do not hold an invitation from a dealer or TEFAF, plan around the public days.

How to get to TEFAF Maastricht

TEFAF's getting there page says Maastricht-Randwyck station is 250 metres from MECC, buses run every five minutes from the city center to the Forum MECC stop, and a free shuttle links the center and the fair from March 11 to March 18. It recommends pre-booking airport transfers with its transport partner, Jacobs Travel, and notes that several international airports are within about an hour of Maastricht. For hotels, the where to stay page lists a 2027 hotel partnership of 14 hotels in Maastricht and the region. TEFAF does not publish a dress code on the pages we checked.

Maastricht Aachen Airport and TEFAF private jets

The nearest airport is Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST/EHBK), north of the city. Its private aviation page says ASL Group handles private and business jets, the Royal Marechaussee carries out passport control, and private jets usually arrive at and leave from Platform A. The airport also states: "During the TEFAF art fair, some 80 jets make use of our services." That is the airport's own undated figure; this guide makes no claim about parking or slot conditions during the 2027 fair.

A second option is Liège Airport (LGG) in Belgium, which describes itself as a cargo hub "at the crossroads of Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt," right next to the motorway. What to confirm with your provider

• Maastricht Aachen or Liège: which airport suits your aircraft and hotel, and how long is the transfer to MECC?
• Has handling with ASL Group, or the handler at your chosen airport, been booked for your dates?
• If you are arriving from outside the Schengen area, how will passport control work at your arrival time?
• Will the aircraft stay through the fair, or reposition between the preview and public days?
• How busy does the provider expect the final weekend to be, and how would a later return change the quote?
• What happens to the booking and any deposit if your plans change?
