Miami Grand Prix 2027 dates and schedule
Formula 1's event page lists the session order above; session start times had not been posted when we checked, and there is no sprint on the 2027 Miami schedule. The race joined the calendar in 2022. F1 describes a 5.412 km layout with 19 corners, three long straights and top speeds above 350 km/h, set inside the Hard Rock Stadium complex, home of the NFL's Miami Dolphins. According to F1, the designers simulated 36 different layouts before settling on the current one, and the main elevation change comes between Turns 13 and 16, where the track runs over an exit ramp and under flyovers.
Where is the Miami Grand Prix track?
The circuit is in Miami Gardens, not in downtown Miami or Miami Beach, and that matters for travel. Miami-Dade's airport page for Opa-locka (linked below) puts the nearby Opa-locka airport 10 minutes from Hard Rock Stadium but 35 minutes from downtown Miami and 30 minutes from Miami Beach, which gives a sense of how the drive to the track varies with where you stay.
Tickets and hospitality: how to buy for F1 Miami
Tickets are sold on the promoter's official ticket page, which covers grandstands, hospitality and other experiences, with a team that helps buyers compare options. For 2027 the promoter is highlighting an expanded Paddock Club, which it describes with a rooftop setting and pit lane views, and and whose guests can join a Pit Lane Walk offered at set times on a first-come, first-served basis. The promoter's homepage shows starting prices for some options; confirm current figures in the ticket shop. If you are choosing grandstand seats, F1's own circuit guide suggests that a seat near Turns 1, 11 or 17 puts you close to the best passing spots, and notes that from the top deck of Hard Rock Stadium you can see every corner of the track.
Closest airport to the Miami Grand Prix
Miami-Dade Aviation Department's page for Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport (OPF) describes it as "only 10 minutes from Hard Rock Stadium." The county says the airport is a reliever to Miami International, has "no landing fees," lists three FBOs and U.S. Customs on the airfield (9am to midnight daily, with one hour's notice), and has a main runway of 8,002 feet. It also hosts a U.S. Coast Guard Air Station. The page describes the airport in general and does not address race weekend, and we make no claim about parking, slots or traffic procedures that weekend.
On helicopters: the organizer pages we reviewed do not describe a helicopter shuttle to the circuit, so ask your provider what is permitted and who operates it before you plan a heli leg. For other South Florida options, see our pages on Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
What to confirm with your provider
- Which airport does the provider suggest for your aircraft and hotel, and how long is the drive to Hard Rock Stadium on race days?
- Has aircraft parking been confirmed for race weekend, or will the aircraft reposition between legs?
- If you are flying in from outside the U.S., where will you clear customs and at what hours?
- Who arranges the car to the circuit, and where can it drop you off?
- How would a Sunday evening departure after the race compare with leaving on Monday?
- What are the change and cancellation terms?
