Cannes Film Festival 2027 dates

How to get tickets or an invitation to Cannes

Cannes is not a ticketed public festival in the usual sense. Under "Rates," the Palais des Festivals lists the event as "By invitation only," and access is managed by the Festival de Cannes itself. One route for younger film lovers is the 3 Days in Cannes pass, which the festival describes as open to people aged 18 to 28 who apply with a letter about their love of film. If you are traveling as a guest, confirm with your host which screenings and events your invitation covers, and any dress requirement it states, before you fix flight dates.

Cannes Film Festival nearest airport: Cannes-Mandelieu

Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (LFMD), run by Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur, calls itself France's second business aviation airport and says it concentrates on business and general aviation, complementing Nice. Its access and hours page lists A8 motorway exit 41, and for May 4 to August 23 gives FBO opening at 06:30, air traffic control from 08:00 and closing at 22:00 local time. The airport also offers pilots an optional "Mandatory Briefing LFMD" ahead of arrival. Hours change with the season, so check the window that applies to your dates. Ask your provider whether your aircraft can use it, as the airport's suitability depends on aircraft type.

Nice airport to the Cannes Film Festival

Nice Côte d'Azur's business aviation page describes a dedicated Business Aviation Terminal of 1,510 square meters with its own customs post, and parking for "approximately 120 business planes" depending on aircraft type. It also has a helicopter terminal with fourteen helicopter stands, and the airport says it sees substantial helicopter activity, so ask your provider whether a helicopter leg toward Cannes is possible and where it would land. The Palais says it is "only 27 km from Nice-Côte d'Azur airport," and the SNCF station is a five-minute walk from the Palais. The Palais also points visitors to an airport bus service from Nice and to the Palm Bus network, which links Cannes with Le Cannet, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Mougins and Théoule. Neither airport page addresses festival weeks, and we make no claim about slots, parking or handling in May. What to confirm with your provider

• Can your aircraft use Cannes-Mandelieu, or does it need Nice Côte d'Azur?
• Does the planned arrival and departure fit Cannes-Mandelieu's hours, with air traffic control from 08:00 to 22:00 in May?
• Have parking and arrival times been confirmed for your dates in May, and will the aircraft stay or reposition?
• If you land at Nice, will you use the Business Aviation Terminal, and who arranges the car or helicopter to Cannes?
• Where will you clear customs if you arrive from outside the Schengen area?
• What are the change and cancellation terms if your invitation dates move?
