Sparfell Luftfahrt GmbH

Sparfell Luftfahrt GmbH is the Austrian operating company of SPARFELL, a family-owned private aviation group headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The Austrian entity is based in Vienna (VIE) and is led by Managing Director Bernhard Wipfler. The group says the founding family has been active in aviation since 1950.

The group presents itself as a single point of contact for private aviation, listing aircraft charter, aircraft management, aircraft trading, leasing, and aircraft design and completion. It also offers non-aviation services such as yacht management, property and asset management, and travel and concierge support.

Sparfell Luftfahrt holds an Austrian air operator's certificate, and a sister company, SPARFELL Malta, holds a second AOC in Malta. In December 2024, aviation data provider ch-aviation listed 17 aircraft on the Austrian AOC. These ranged from a Citation Jet 2+ and Challenger 300/350s to Gulfstream G280 and G650ER, Falcon 7X, Global Express XRS and Global 7500 jets, plus an ACJ319 then in refurbishment. Charter flights use these managed aircraft, which belong to private owners.

Besides Geneva and Vienna, the group lists offices in San Marino, Malta, Washington, Singapore and Dublin. The Vienna operation holds an Austrian AOC, which Austro Control oversees, and the managing director has said this AOC attracts aircraft owners from outside Austria.
