Global charter broker for private jets, groups and freight, part of Wheels Up
Air Partner is an international aviation services group headquartered at Gatwick in West Sussex, UK, with offices in other countries including the United States. The listing on file is for its Washington, DC office.
The company traces its history to 1961, when Tony Mack founded Airways Training, a school converting military pilots to civilian flying. It later ran an air taxi business before deciding in 1983 to concentrate on aircraft broking, and it took the Air Partner name in 1999.
Air Partner arranges flights with third-party operators rather than flying its own fleet. Charter is its main business, covering private jets for individuals and companies, large group charters on airliners, and air freight. The group has also offered aviation safety and security services.
In April 2022 Wheels Up completed its acquisition of Air Partner, and the company was delisted from the London Stock Exchange. At the time of the deal it reported operating from 18 locations across four continents. Chief executive Mark Briffa remained in place after the acquisition.
