Citation XL charter, air medical and organ flights from Smithfield, North Carolina
NorthStar Aero Services is a private aviation company listed in Smithfield, North Carolina, in the Raleigh-Durham Triangle area.
It offers private charter flights and has two medical lines of work: air medical transport with a crew experienced in emergency medical services, and organ procurement flights that carry transplant teams and organs from North Carolina to receiving hospitals. The company states that it is a UNOS member and ambassador. It also lists aircraft management.
Its website shows one aircraft, a Cessna Citation XL (Excel) midsize jet with seating for up to eight passengers. The site does not say which Part 135 certificate the flights operate under, so flyers should confirm whether NorthStar operates the jet itself or arranges flights through another certificate holder.
The company suits travellers and medical teams in central North Carolina looking for a midsize jet for regional trips.
