Aircraft Specialists Inc (ASI) - FBO, Part 145, Prop, and Avionics

Aircraft Specialists Inc (ASI) is an aviation services company at Clark Regional Airport (KJVY) in Sellersburg, Indiana, about ten minutes north of Louisville, Kentucky. The company says it began in 1976 as a propeller overhaul business.

Today ASI operates the fixed base operation at the airport. A 2020 Midwest Flyer report describes a 22,600-square-foot FBO building under the Avfuel brand and an 18,200-square-foot hangar able to take aircraft up to a Gulfstream G550, with round-the-clock operations, fuel, hangar space, crew cars and catering arrangements.

Alongside the FBO, ASI lists aircraft maintenance, avionics work, propeller and governor overhauls and aircraft management. The same report describes a Part 145 repair station at the complex. The airport website also lists flight instruction and aircraft rental through ASI.

ASI advertises aircraft charter, but its site does not name a fleet or a Part 135 certificate. The Clark Regional Airport website gives a separate charter contact, PFA, which suggests that charter flights are operated by a partner rather than by ASI itself. Flyers looking for charter should ask which company holds the operating certificate for their trip.
