Scottsdale aircraft sales, management, charter and maintenance firm founded in 1988
Pinnacle Aviation is a private aviation company headquartered on North 78th Way in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was founded in 1988 by corporate pilot Curt Pavlicek as an aircraft sales and acquisition business and over the following decade added aircraft management, charter and maintenance units.
Aircraft sales and acquisitions remain a core activity. The company says it has handled transactions ranging from turboprops to Boeing 737 and 757 airliners. Its management unit covers crew staffing, maintenance oversight, accounting and insurance for owners.
The charter division operates managed jets from Scottsdale for domestic and international trips. The fleet shown on its website spans mid-size to large-cabin types, including the Phenom 300E, Citation XLS and Excel, Challenger 300 and 605, Gulfstream G280, Falcon 2000LXS, Citation X, Legacy 600 and Global 5000. Aviation data service ch-aviation reported in 2025 that the Part 135 fleet had been trimmed after the retirement of several older types; the exact current fleet should be checked before booking.
Pinnacle cites IS-BAO Stage 3 registration, an ARGUS Platinum rating and Wyvern approval. It also runs a Part 145 repair station in Mesa, Arizona, and says it has operations in Hawaii and Colorado in addition to its two Scottsdale facilities.
