Steel Aviation, Inc.

Steel Aviation is an aircraft sales and acquisition company headquartered at Dayton-Phillipsburg Airport (3I7) in Phillipsburg, Ohio, north-west of Dayton. The company says it has been in business for more than 25 years and has completed over 5,000 aircraft transactions.

Its core business is buying and selling new and pre-owned aircraft, from single-engine pistons to turboprops and jets, including trade-ins and outright purchases. It keeps a published inventory of aircraft for sale.

Steel Aviation is a factory-authorised Diamond Aircraft dealer. When Diamond appointed it, the manufacturer gave it exclusive representation in eight Midwest states: Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Its website calls it one of only two Diamond dealers in the United States with access to the full Diamond lineup.

Supporting services include aircraft financing through its Steel Finance arm, which works with several lenders, plus maintenance, avionics, and paint and interior work. Flight training is offered through an affiliated school. The company does not advertise charter flights. Aviation press has noted that its owners also run the Phillipsburg airport.
