Cessna 190/195 and classic aircraft restoration and aircraft sales in Perry, Missouri
Barron Aviation, LLC is a vintage aircraft repair and restoration business located on Highway Y outside Perry, Missouri, where it operates from the private Barron Aviation Airport (MO11). The company describes itself as a three-generation family operation.
According to AOPA, Mike Barron began restoring Cessna 195s in 1997 after buying a project aircraft and finding that parts were not available. Parts made for that project were soon needed by other owners, and the business grew from there. His son Dillon Barron now owns and runs the shop, with Mike still involved.
The shop's specialty is structural repair and restoration of the Cessna 190 and 195, including the military LC-126. Its website lists structural repair, refinishing, interiors, panel and avionics work, custom-made parts, modifications, engine and component overhaul, corrosion treatment and aircraft recovery. It also works on the Cessna 120, 140, 170, 180 and 185, the Beech 18, the North American AT-6 and the Grumman Albatross.
AOPA reported that the company has completed 47 Cessna 190 and 195 restorations, and that a 1948 Cessna 195 restored by Dillon Barron won the classic Grand Champion Gold Lindy at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023.
The website carries an aircraft-for-sale section that has included classic Cessna models, a Husky and a Grumman Albatross. The company does not offer charter flights; it is relevant to buyers and owners of classic piston aircraft rather than jet travellers.
