Jet charter, jet cards and management from Orlando Executive, Grand Rapids and Naples
Northern Jet is a private jet charter and aircraft management company. It was formed in 2023 when Northern Jet Management of Grand Rapids, Michigan merged with SpeedBird of Orlando, Florida. The combined company kept the Northern Jet name, took SpeedBird's branding and moved its headquarters to Orlando Executive Airport. It also has private member terminals in Grand Rapids and Naples, Florida.
Its website lists private jet charter, jet cards, fractional ownership, aircraft management and aircraft acquisition and sales brokerage. The company says it has offered private travel services for more than thirty years.
At the time of the merger, trade press reported 32 aircraft available for charter, with three Challenger 605s being added. Its jet card has been reported to cover light (Citation CJ3), midsize (Learjet) and super-midsize (Citation X) categories with a 60-minute daily minimum. The website also mentions a heavy jet card built on the Challenger 600 series. The company's main routes have been reported as north-south trips between the Upper Midwest, the Northeast and Florida.
The website shows an ARGUS Platinum logo and lists memberships in NBAA, NATA and regional business aviation associations. Before the merger, SpeedBird's aircraft flew under another company's Part 135 certificate, and the two certificates were to be consolidated, so flyers should confirm which certificate a given trip runs under.
