Part 135 jet and turboprop charter operator and FBO based in Lincoln, Nebraska
Silverhawk Aviation is a Nebraska aviation company with its home office in Lincoln and a presence at Lincoln Airport (LNK) and in Omaha. According to a 2016 Aviation International News profile, it started at Seward Municipal Airport around 1990–91, moved to Crete, and then settled at Lincoln, where it also runs a full-service FBO with a Part 145 repair station.
Silverhawk holds its own charter certificate and flies its own managed and owned aircraft, mainly Cessna Citation jets and Beechcraft King Air turboprops. AIN reported a 10-aircraft charter fleet in 2016, split evenly between jets and turboprops; a newer third-party database lists a larger fleet, so the current count should be confirmed with the company.
Besides on-demand charter, the company sells a private jet card, offers fractional ownership through its Silverhawk Shares program, and manages aircraft for owners, including a guaranteed revenue option. Its website lists departures from Lincoln, Omaha, Kansas City, Des Moines, Wichita and smaller Midwest communities, with jet card trips covering North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
AIN reported in 2016 that Mike Gerdes and Gene Luce bought the company in 2015. No ARGUS, Wyvern or IS-BAO rating was found during research, so flyers who need one should ask the company directly.
