New York-based charter broker selling jet cards and on-demand private jet flights
Jets.com is the trading name of Dem Jet Inc, a private jet charter company that has been in business since 2008, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons. That source lists its headquarters in Staten Island, New York.
The company sells on-demand charter and jet card programs. Its terms describe it as an air charter broker acting as the client's agent: flights are contracted only with FAR Part 135 direct air carriers, which keep full operational control, and Jets.com states that it is not itself a direct air carrier. Its website also lists cargo charter.
Jet cards are prepaid programs with fixed hourly rates in four cabin sizes: light, midsize, super-midsize and heavy jets. Private Jet Card Comparisons describes an Access Pass for a single cabin category and an Access + product that allows flying across categories; both are bought in blocks of hours or dollar amounts. Card terms and pricing change, so flyers should check current contracts directly with the company.
In 2021 Jets.com bought Pittsburgh Jet Center, a Part 135 charter operator now called Private Jet Center, to secure aircraft for its jet card clients. Its own site refers to a partnership with Private Jet Center for extra aircraft. Flights may therefore run on the affiliated operator's aircraft or with other third-party operators.
Private Jet Card Comparisons links Jets.com to the ARGUS broker registry. Flyers should ask which operator is flying a given trip.
