Global business jet operator offering subscription flight hours and on-demand charter
VistaJet is a business aviation company founded in 2004 by Swiss entrepreneur Thomas Flohr, who is also its chairman. It began life as Air Executive and started flying in 2005. The operating company, VistaJet Limited, is headquartered in Malta and is part of the Vista Global group. The listing on file refers to its New York presence.
Unlike a broker, VistaJet operates aircraft under its own certificate: VistaJet Limited holds Maltese Air Operator Certificate MT-17. In the United States, VistaJet US Inc. acts as an air charter broker and does not itself operate aircraft, a distinction US customers may want to note when booking.
The company sells access through several models. Its Program is a multi-year subscription that gives access to the whole fleet, VJ25 offers a smaller annual block starting at 25 flight hours, and there is a corporate offering for businesses. On-demand charter is also available, with the website quoting rates from about $11,000 per hour, subject to market conditions.
The fleet is centred on super-midsize to ultra-long-range jets, mainly Bombardier Global and Challenger models, with the Global 8000 presented as the current flagship. Over the years the group has grown through acquisitions including Skyjet International, XOJET, JetSmarter, Red Wing Aviation, Apollo Jet and Talon Air.
VistaJet focuses on long-range and international travel, with aircraft positioned worldwide rather than at a single home base.
