Manhattan helicopter operator for sightseeing tours, private charter and medical transport
HeliNY is the trading name of Helicopter Flight Services, Inc., a New York helicopter operator. It flies from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport at 6 East River Piers and from Linden Municipal Airport in New Jersey. The company says it has run helicopter tours since 1994, and a 2011 trade report described it as having flown in the New York area for about 20 years.
Sightseeing tours over Manhattan make up most of its business. HeliNY also offers private charter flights, destination trips, commercial work, and medical and organ transport.
The fleet is built around Bell 407 helicopters, including the newer 407GX and 407GXi. HeliHub reported that the company took delivery of two 407GX aircraft in 2012, among the first used for sightseeing, and ordered more in 2014. A 2016 report also mentioned Airbus H130s in the fleet.
On safety, HeliNY joined the Tour Operators Program of Safety (TOPS) in 2012. It reports TOPS certification in November 2025 and a WYVERN Wingman certification granted in December 2025. Its website names Paul Blodgett as CEO.
