SOBEC AVIATION

SOBEC Aviation is a private aviation company with a US headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, and a second base in Broederstroom, South Africa. In the US it trades as SOBEC Group USA LLC.

Its services include private charter, aircraft management, aircraft sales and acquisitions, leasing and brokerage consultancy, and international ferry flights. The website names corporate teams, mining and oil and gas crews, safari and leisure groups, and private aircraft owners among its clients.

In the United States, SOBEC states that it acts as an agent: it does not own or operate aircraft and arranges flights with third-party carriers certificated under FAA Part 135. For its African operations, the company says it operates under an air operator certificate and holds Gold BARS safety accreditation, and it lists NBAA membership.

The site describes the business as active for more than a decade, though it also uses a figure of over 20 years, so the founding date is unclear.
