It traces its charter work back to 1978, when Wayne Carr bought Intercoastal Airways, a small FBO and charter business. A 2005 trade profile named the Carr brothers as the company's leaders and described the company as based at Charlotte County Airport in Punta Gorda.

The company offers private jet charter, empty-leg flights, travel packages and a membership option. It also runs an air ambulance service, and medical transport has historically been a large part of its operations.
