StarJets is clear on its website that it is not a direct air carrier and does not own or operate aircraft. It arranges flights with licensed operators, who keep operational control of each trip. The company says it can source from a database of more than 7,000 aircraft worldwide, from helicopters and turboprops through light, midsize, heavy and ultra-long-range jets to VIP and standard airliners.

Its charter offering covers one-off private jet trips, empty legs, helicopter and air taxi flights, and air ambulance arrangements. For larger moves it handles group charter such as corporate shuttles, sports teams, tours, roadshows and events, along with cargo shipments and charters for oil and gas, government and entertainment clients.

Because StarJets works as a broker, flyers should ask which operator and certificate will fly each trip and what safety audits that operator holds. A separate, New York-based company called Star Jets International is unrelated.
