Midwest charter operator with jet card, fractional and management programs, Lincoln NE
Silverhawk Aviation is a private aviation company based in Lincoln, Nebraska. According to the Air Charter Safety Foundation, it started in 1991 as a charter operator with one aircraft and one pilot. Its website lists a home office in Lincoln and a location at Lincoln Airport, with further locations in Omaha and Kansas City.
Silverhawk sells on-demand charter and a Silverhawk Jet Card, which covers trips across North America, Central America and the Caribbean. It also offers fractional ownership through Silverhawk Shares and aircraft management for owners. It describes itself as the largest light jet charter operator in the Midwest, but this is the company's own claim.
The website says the fleet is made up of Cessna Citation jets and King Air turboprops. Earlier coverage by the Air Charter Safety Foundation described a mix of turboprops, light jets and midsize jets.
In 2021, Ross Aviation bought Silverhawk's FBO and maintenance businesses at Lincoln. According to aviation press, the charter, fractional and aircraft management business stayed with its owners and continues to trade as Silverhawk Aviation. In 2019, the company flew free evacuation flights between Fremont and Lincoln during the Nebraska floods. The website does not mention ARGUS, Wyvern or IS-BAO ratings.
