Part 135 jet charter, aircraft management and hangar space at Greensboro PTI (KGSO), NC
Causey Aviation Service, Inc. is a family-owned aviation company at Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO/KGSO) in Greensboro, North Carolina. The company says it has been run by the Causey family since 1967. It grew out of Causey Airport (NC74) in Liberty, North Carolina, which Benson Causey opened in 1963. The family still owns that airfield.
The company presents itself as a charter operator, not a broker. According to its website, it flies charter flights on its own FAA Part 135 certificate using aircraft it owns and crews it employs. The charter aircraft listed are a Dassault Falcon 2000 and a Hawker 800XP. Trips mainly leave from GSO, RDU and other airports in the Carolinas and Virginia, with destinations across the eastern United States. The company says its charter operation holds an ARGUS Gold rating.
Causey also manages aircraft for owners under Part 91 or Part 135, either as a full package or as individual services. This covers crewing, compliance and maintenance oversight. Owners can choose to put their aircraft on the charter certificate to help offset costs.
At GSO, the company runs a newly built 21,450 sq ft hangar with on-site Jet-A fuel and an A&P mechanic on staff. Hangar space, fuel and line service are offered to tenants, managed aircraft and charter clients by arrangement. It is not a full-service public FBO. The Liberty airfield has a 3,800 ft runway and hangar space, and the company also mentions drone and eVTOL activity there.
Flyers who want an operator based in the Piedmont Triad, with midsize and super-midsize jets, may find Causey relevant. They should confirm the current certificate and safety-audit status directly before booking.
