Kissimmee, Florida cargo airline flying on-demand and contract cargo charters
Skyway Enterprises is a cargo airline headquartered in Kissimmee, Florida, with hubs listed at Kissimmee Gateway Airport and Miami International Airport. It began in Michigan in 1981 as a Cessna dealership, started cargo charter operations in 1983 and moved to Kissimmee in 1989.
The company flies on-demand domestic and international cargo charters and has also flown passenger charters. A large share of its work has been contract flying for express carriers and government customers, including FedEx and UPS.
As of September 2022 its fleet was listed as four Shorts SD3-60 turboprops. Earlier types included Learjets, a DC-9 freighter and Shorts 330s.
Skyway was acquired in February 2021 by JMB Aviation Group, the owner of the Colombian cargo airline Transcarga.
Skyway is a freight operator rather than a private jet provider. It is mainly relevant to shippers needing ad-hoc cargo lift between Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America.
