Part 135 jet charter, aircraft management and FBO at Ithaca, New York
Taughannock Aviation Corporation, trading as FlyTAC, is based at Ithaca Tompkins International Airport in upstate New York. The company states it was established in 1980, and an Aviation Week supplier profile notes it began FAR Part 135 operations with a single Piper Seneca.
Today it runs an on-demand charter operation with midsize, super-midsize and heavy jets, operated under its own Part 135 certificate according to industry operator listings. Alongside charter it offers aircraft management, covering crews, hangar space, insurance, scheduling and charter marketing for owners.
Taughannock also runs the FBO at Ithaca, with fuel, hangar and parking, concierge and aircraft detailing, and a maintenance department handling avionics installation and repair and airframe work. It sells ground support equipment as well.
Fleet size varies between sources: a 2017 article referred to nearly a dozen business jets, while a more recent operator listing showed seven tail numbers. Operator aggregator data did not show an ARGUS or Wyvern rating on file, so flyers who require an audit standard should ask the company directly.
