SpiritJets

SpiritJets is an aircraft management and charter company based in the St. Louis area. Its office is in Chesterfield, Missouri, and it operates from Spirit of St. Louis Airport (KSUS).

According to Professional Pilot magazine, owner and CEO Doug McCollum founded the company in 2008 after selling his earlier company, JetCorp, in 2006. SpiritJets began operating under its own FAR Part 135 air carrier certificate.

The company offers on-demand private jet charter, turnkey management for aircraft owners, and aircraft sales and acquisition. Professional Pilot also describes a Charter Shares programme, in which participants pay only for occupied flight time.

Its charter fleet is made up mainly of managed aircraft. Fleet counts vary by source: Professional Pilot reported eleven aircraft, while some charter aggregators list fewer. Flyers should ask for the current aircraft list when requesting a quote.

SpiritJets says it holds an ARGUS rating, and its website shows an IS-BAO logo. Flyers who need a particular audit standard should confirm the current rating with the operator.
