Tech Flight Air Charter

Tech Flight Aviation, which also trades as Tech Flight Air Charter and TechFLIGHT Aviation, is a private aircraft charter company in the San Diego area. Its main location is the Carlsbad Jet Center, 2210 Palomar Airport Rd, at McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, California. Its website also gives a second address at Boca Raton Executive Airport in Florida.

The company offers on-demand charter for point-to-point trips. It flies out of private terminals at executive airports, so passengers can drive up to the aircraft without going through airline-style terminal processing. It also runs a program for aircraft owners. Owners lease their aircraft to Tech Flight, which pays them based on the hours flown. Tech Flight looks after cleaning, fuel, airworthiness, maintenance records, avionics database updates and training.

The company says it operates its own fleet. Its LinkedIn profile names Beechcraft and Cirrus aircraft, and directory photos show a Beechcraft King Air 200. The aircraft are described as having advanced integrated avionics, onboard satellite weather, traffic collision avoidance, anti-ice protection and airbag seatbelts. The charter offer is for turboprops and smaller aircraft, not large-cabin jets.

Its LinkedIn profile describes service across the contiguous United States. The company says many flights from its San Diego-area base go to Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, San Francisco and the Phoenix area. That makes it most relevant for short regional and same-day trips in the western US.

San Diego County's Palomar Airport page lists Tech Flight Aviation among the air taxi and charter services at the field. The company's website says it holds an ARGUS Gold rating. Flyers may want to confirm the current rating and the operating certificate details directly before booking.
