Interstate Helicopters

Interstate Helicopters, Inc. is a helicopter services company based at 5809 Philip J Rhoads Ave, Hangar 4, in Bethany, Oklahoma, on the western edge of Oklahoma City. The company states that it has been operating since 1978.

Its website lists helicopter chartering alongside private helicopter tours of Oklahoma City and commercial and government aerial work, including powerline and pipeline inspection, wildlife surveys, and aerial photography and video.

The company also offers aircraft management for helicopter owners, covering operational oversight, scheduling, maintenance coordination and guidance on acquisition and financing. Flight training appears on the site, but discovery flights and student training were listed as currently unavailable at the time of review.

A U.S. Department of Justice release describes Interstate as a Bethany-based helicopter charter company whose air carrier certificate covers helicopter operations only, and reports that it paid $155,000 to settle civil penalty claims over alleged unauthorized fixed-wing charter flights in 2016 and 2017. Flyers should expect helicopter-only charter from this operator.
