Helicopter passenger service from Penzance to Tresco and St Mary's, Isles of Scilly
Penzance Helicopters runs a helicopter passenger service from Penzance Heliport at Long Rock, on the outskirts of Penzance in Cornwall, to Tresco and St Mary's on the Isles of Scilly.
Flights are operated on its behalf by Starspeed, a helicopter operator that is part of the Luxaviation Group. Starspeed took over the operation from Sloane Helicopters in November 2022. Passengers book seats on a published timetable, and the company also sells day trips to the islands and gift vouchers.
The route is flown with Sikorsky S-76C++ helicopters. In May 2025 the company announced a third S-76C++ to meet demand, along with UK Civil Aviation Authority approval for base maintenance at the Penzance heliport.
This is a scheduled route service rather than an on-demand charter; flyers wanting a private flight to the islands should ask the company directly whether whole-aircraft hire is available.
