Glasgow-headquartered business jet operator with UK and Malta AOCs and London bases
Air Charter Scotland is an aircraft operator and aircraft management company headquartered in Glasgow. The British Business and General Aviation Association describes it as Scotland's second-oldest airline operator. It began with piston and turboprop types such as the Cessna 310 and Beech King Air 200 and moved into executive jet operations in 2006.
The company holds two air operator certificates: a UK AOC and a second held by Air Charter Scotland Europe, its Maltese entity set up in August 2020. Its business is managing aircraft for owners, and the managed fleet is offered for third-party charter. Its website also lists aircraft sales and acquisitions, maintenance and empty-leg flights.
Its London operation is based at London Luton, and in 2021 it added a light jet at London Biggin Hill. The website lists offices in London, Glasgow and Malta.
In December 2025 Highland Council awarded the company the Wick–Aberdeen–Wick public service obligation route. Flights started on 12 January 2026 with a BAe Jetstream 32, initially wet-leased from AIS Airlines. The company is a member of the BBGA and The Air Charter Association.
