UK and Ireland distributor of Diamond Aircraft, also selling Stemme and pre-owned aircraft
Gemstone Aviation is a UK aircraft distributor. Diamond Aircraft announced in October 2018 that it had appointed Gemstone as its sole distributor for the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The listing on file places the company at Enstone, near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire.
The company sells new Diamond aircraft, including the DA40 series, the DA42 and DA62 twins and the DA50 RG single, along with special mission variants. Its website also states that it is the sole distributor for Stemme aircraft. Alongside new sales, it brokers the sale of pre-owned aircraft for owners.
For buyers of new aircraft, Gemstone offers support beyond the sale itself, including aircraft management and independent advice on finance, registration, insurance and maintenance arrangements.
The business is led by directors Chris Dawes and Henrik Burkal. According to Diamond, both have worked with the manufacturer since 2004; Burkal previously spent ten years with Diamond Aircraft UK, and Dawes co-founded DEA Aviation, an AOC operator with Part 145 maintenance for Diamond types.
