Ugandan fixed-wing and helicopter charter operator based at Kajjansi Airfield, Kampala
KEA, short for Kampala Executive Aviation, is an aircraft operator based at Kajjansi Airfield near Kampala, Uganda. It holds Ugandan Air Operator Certificate 097 and says it also holds AOCs in Chad and South Sudan, and it has been flying for about two decades.
The company offers ad-hoc fixed-wing and helicopter charter, VIP and corporate flights, cargo charter, medical evacuation and search and rescue. Much of its work supports oil and gas projects, humanitarian agencies and remote sites, including pipeline patrol, external-load work and aerial survey. It also offers wet, dry and ACMI leases, maintenance, consultancy and drone mapping.
KEA's website lists a Bell 412 and an Airbus AS350 B3+ helicopter alongside a Beechcraft 1900D, Cessna Caravan, Cessna 206 and 210, and a Diamond DA42 surveillance aircraft. Trade publication African Aerospace reported the arrival of the company's first Beechcraft 1900D, a 19-seat turboprop.
The company says it has operated in 13 countries, including Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, DR Congo, Chad, Somalia and Iraq. It reports audits by TotalEnergies and Bureau Veritas and lists the UN, MSF and WFP among its clients, which may help flyers who need an operator vetted for humanitarian or energy-sector work.
