Swedish helicopter operator in Västerås for aerial work, passenger flights and training
HeliAir Sweden AB is a Swedish helicopter company with its main base at Lycksta Gård outside Västerås and a second base at Lysekil on the west coast. It describes itself as a complete operator, keeping flight operations, training, continuing airworthiness and maintenance within the same organisation.
Much of its work is utility flying: external-load and construction lifts, forestry work, tree clearing along power lines for the energy sector, and aerial firefighting, which it carries out under a framework agreement with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency. For private and corporate customers it offers passenger flights, including VIP transfers, air taxi trips, corporate events, sightseeing and flights for special occasions, as well as TV, film and photo flights.
The company's website lists Airbus H125 and H120 helicopters and Bell 205 / UH-1H types, and notes that three new H125s were delivered in February 2026. It also holds a stock of Bambi buckets for firefighting work.
HeliAir states that it holds an Air Operator Certificate, an EASA-approved training organisation (ATO) through HeliAir Academy, CAMO approval for continuing airworthiness and Part-145 maintenance approval. An independent industry profile on Nordic Rotors records that its maintenance arm received Part-145 approval from the Swedish Transport Agency in June 2011.
