San Marino-registered ACMI and cargo charter airline flying Airbus widebodies
San Marino Executive Aviation S.r.l. (SMEA) is an aircraft operator registered in the Republic of San Marino. In 2020 ch-aviation reported its operating base as Rimini, Italy, and described it as the first San Marino-registered carrier to fly freighter aircraft.
The company's website lists ACMI (wet lease) services, cargo charter, aircraft management and continuing airworthiness management (CAMO), and says it mainly flies charter flights.
The website names two aircraft types: an Airbus A330-300 used for ACMI work and an Airbus A300-600 freighter used for cargo charter. ch-aviation reported that the A300B4-622R(F), registered T7-ASK, joined the fleet in late 2019 and began revenue flights in March 2020, mainly carrying medical equipment from Bologna and Pisa to China. The same report said the carrier also flew a Boeing 737-700 (BBJ) under a private contract.
SMEA now works mainly in cargo and wide-body ACMI, not private passenger charter. Anyone looking for business jet travel should ask the company directly whether it currently offers passenger aircraft.
