Private jet and helicopter charter from Christchurch, New Zealand
GCH Jet Operations (GCH Jet Ops) is the private jet charter arm of GCH Aviation, a family-owned New Zealand aviation group headquartered in Christchurch. The group was established in 1983, and a tourism industry profile says it employs more than 120 people and owns over 30 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.
Jet Ops runs from the GCH Aviation Jet Centre at Christchurch International Airport and takes bookings 24 hours a day. Its flagship is a Bombardier Challenger 604 based in Christchurch with seating for up to 10 passengers. The website also lists a Dassault Falcon 2000-series jet based in Auckland and a six-seat Cessna Citation CJ2+ based in Wellington for domestic trips.
The service covers New Zealand's international and most regional airports, and the Challenger can fly to Australia, the Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia. Jet-to-helicopter transfers and customs and biosecurity clearance can be arranged on the ground in Christchurch.
The wider GCH Aviation group runs helicopter, fixed-wing and seaplane charters in New Zealand and Fiji, and has bases in Kaikoura, Nelson, Greymouth, Wellington, Vanuatu and Fiji. The group is accepted into the Virtuoso travel network, and the Challenger can be converted for medical transport with the NZ Flying Doctor service.
The group holds a Qualmark Gold endorsement and a Helicopter Association of New Zealand safety award for more than 30 years without injury accidents.
