Private jet charter operator based at Ardmore, Auckland, flying in New Zealand and beyond
NZ Jet is a private jet charter company based at Ardmore Airport, south-east of Auckland, New Zealand. It was set up in 2022 by John Ambler, who also flies the company's aircraft, and Anne Ambler. The couple previously owned Heletranz Helicopters, which merged with Inflite Charters in 2020.
The company first offered charter under another operator's certificate, Air Ops Jet. In late August 2024 it added its own jets to its own Part 119 certificate, so it now operates its flights itself rather than arranging them through a third party.
Its website currently lists two aircraft: a Gulfstream G100 with seven seats and a Cessna Citation 560 with eight. Fleet details have changed since the company launched. Its first jet, Citation Ultra ZK-XGO, was reported in 2024, and a Citation V, ZK-ZGO, was added after a cabin refurbishment.
Sample trips on the website include Auckland to Queenstown and Auckland to Fiji. The company also offers trip planning and catering, and a loyalty scheme in which clients pre-buy a block of flight hours at a discount. It says pets are welcome on board.
