Non-scheduled jet, turboprop and helicopter charter operator based at Delhi IGI Airport
Span Air Private Limited, which also trades as SpanAir, is a private charter company in New Delhi, India. It runs its operations office at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL/VIDP). The company says it has been operating since November 1995, which makes it one of the longer-running charter firms in the country.
Span Air appears in India's list of Non-Scheduled Operator's Permit (NSOP) holders, with both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. That means it flies charters on its own aircraft under its own permit, not as a broker using other operators' planes. It offers on-demand charter on business jets and turboprops, plus helicopter charter.
The company's website lists three aircraft: a Hawker 900XP midsize jet, a Beechcraft King Air 250 turboprop and a twin-engine Bell 429 helicopter. The NSOP listing also shows a Hawker 900XP and a Bell 429 registered VT-NKL. The company says it was the first operator in India to bring in the Hawker 850XP and 900XP. Older reports name more aircraft, including a Premier 1A and a Bell 407GX, so flyers should confirm which aircraft are available now.
Flights start from Delhi. The jet and turboprop can reach domestic and regional destinations, and the helicopter covers shorter trips. The website has pages on range and tariffs, plus an enquiry form for quotes.
Flyers comparing operators can ask Span Air for the current permit status and aircraft registrations for the aircraft quoted on their trip.
