Indian helicopter charter operator with Airbus and Bell aircraft, active in Kerala
Chipsan Aviation Private Limited is an Indian helicopter operator. Its website gives a head office in Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, and describes the company as a non-scheduled air operator; Kerala Tourism's heli-tourism directory also lists it as a DGCA-approved non-scheduled operator.
The company offers helicopter charter for private, corporate and event travel, alongside aircraft management, heliport management and consultancy, aircraft sales and aviation consulting. The Kerala Tourism listing adds VVIP transport, air ambulance and organ transport flights, pilgrimage packages and short helicopter rides.
The fleet shown on its website is mainly Airbus helicopters, including the H125, H130, H135, H145 and H160, plus a Bell 407, a Bell 505, a Robinson R44 and a Beechcraft King Air B250. In late 2024 Chipsan took delivery of the first of two Airbus H160s leased from GD Helicopter Finance, reported as the first H160 lease by an Indian operator.
In Kerala the company takes part in the state's heli-tourism programme, with a Chipsan helipad in Kochi used as the start point for packages to destinations such as Munnar, Kumarakom and Kovalam. The website also lists Bangalore, Pune, Goa and Delhi among popular destinations.
