ModAir Aviation describes itself as an integrated aviation group headquartered in New Delhi. Its subsidiary, ModAir Aviation IFSC Private Limited, is registered in GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and buys, sells and leases aircraft. Atul Jain is named as founder in press coverage, and trade press reported Amit Mittal's appointment as chief executive of the leasing arm in 2024.

Leasing is the best-documented part of the business. Trade reports describe the company as focused on leasing and financing trainer aircraft to Indian flight training organisations. Its first lease, a twin-engine Tecnam, went to a flight academy in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Reported portfolio size grew from four aircraft in October 2023 to six by December 2024.

The group's website also lists aircraft charter, aircraft sale and purchase, and aviation consulting covering fleet strategy, transactions and regulatory compliance. It does not say who operates charter flights or which aircraft are used, so the charter service should be treated as arranged through third-party operators unless the company confirms otherwise.

Private flyers are more likely to use ModAir for aircraft acquisition, leasing or financing advice than for regular charter.
