French commuter airline flying private charters from Courchevel, Chambéry and Saint-Tropez
Alpine Airlines is a small French airline with bases at the Courchevel altiport (LFLJ), Chambéry (LFLB) and La Môle–Saint-Tropez (LFTZ). The Saint-Tropez base is seasonal; the company says its aircraft are positioned on the Côte d'Azur from June to September.
The company flies private charter and air taxi trips, including business and VIP flights. From Saint-Tropez it lists flights to Corsica (Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi, Figari and Propriano) and to Italy and Spain. A third-party airline guide describes the network as flexible, covering destinations within about two hours of its bases. It also runs scenic flights over the Alps and an approved flight training school.
Its website says the fleet is made up only of French-registered twin-engine aircraft with 6 to 10 seats. A third-party airline guide names the Vulcanair Aviator TP600 and Vulcanair P68 Observer as the types used for passenger flights.
The company says it operates under a French air carrier certificate and is the only airline authorised by the DGAC and EASA to use the Courchevel and Megève altiports. This mountain-airfield access is its main specialism. Sources differ on when it started: an independent guide says 2014 and the company's site says 2015.
